Q: How long have you been with Oakleaf?

A: I’ve been with Oakleaf since November of 2022.

Q: Can you give us a glimpse into your role and a typical day?

A: My role revolves around statistical modeling, programming, and data analysis. A typical day might involve team sessions, individual problem-solving, or project organization.

 Q: What’s the Oakleaf work environment like?

A: Every day is full of energy and new challenges! I enjoy the friendly atmosphere here at Oakleaf and working with professional, smart, and amazing people.

Q: What makes you feel proud to work at Oakleaf?

A: Oakleaf stands out for its specialized, tech-driven solutions to solve complex problems within the banking and mortgage industries. I’m proud to be part of a team that is always evolving and prioritizing employee growth.

Q: Any advice for potential Oakleaf candidates?

A: If you’re passionate about data analytics, risk management, and AI in the MBS industry, and value a transparent work environment, Oakleaf is the place for you.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

A: Exploring planets in other galaxies would be an amazing experience!

Q: One thing you can’t live without?

A: Laughter. The world needs more joy.

Q: Last book you read?

A: “Existential Psychotherapy” by Irvin D. Yalom is an excellent book. I recommend it to everyone!

 Q: Do you have any pets?

A: I have two adorable cats.

Q: If not this, what would your alternate career be?

A: Data analyst, quantitative analyst, or financial engineer. I love applying quantitative methods to financial or economic problems. If I am idealistic, a film director or an artist.

Q: Any unique job experiences before Oakleaf?

A: I did some research work on international economics with applications in econometrics before, which I found quite interesting. Asking good research questions and working on answering them is a hard but rewarding process.

Q: How has Oakleaf shaped your career?

A: At Oakleaf, I’ve explored my passion for quantitative analytics and finance. I’ve gained expertise in MBS products, risk management, and statistical modeling. Additionally, I’ve honed my programming skills across various languages and improved in time management and team communication, all crucial for my career growth.

Q: What three words would you use to describe Oakleaf?

A: Supportive. Innovative. Methodical.

Q: What do you like most about your role at Oakleaf?

A: The diverse projects and the supportive team.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: Reading books, watching films, visiting art museums, Muay Thai, swimming, thinking about philosophical problems.

Q: What music are you currently listening to?

A: Music by Joe Hisaishi.

Q: Where is your hometown?

A: Mars! Yes, I am being serious – that was a long, long time ago.

Q: What attracted you to Oakleaf originally?

A: Oakleaf offered diverse projects, enabling me to expand my skills and delve into various fields. Their expertise in data analytics, risk management, and MBS products aligned with my interests, making their flexibility and specialization particularly appealing.

Q: How has Oakleaf evolved?

A: It’s grown immensely, with plans to integrate AI tools in the MBS sector. I’m excited to take part in this next phase of innovation!

A: Mainly mortgage companies and banks.

Q: How have you grown professionally at Oakleaf?

A: At Oakleaf, I’ve deepened my understanding of MBS products, risk management, and mortgage finance models. I’ve also honed my programming abilities, mastered handling complex datasets, improved my statistical and analytical skills, and cultivated effective collaboration and communication techniques, all while enhancing my multitasking and time management capabilities.
