How long have you been with Oakleaf Group?

I have been with Oakleaf for 3 and a half years.

What do you like most about working at Oakleaf?

Working at Oakleaf is challenging but rewarding. I enjoy the challenge of meeting project deadlines while working closely with peers, colleagues, and clients. Oakleaf provides an exciting opportunity to make an immediate and substantial impact to the bottom line. An entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged, and we work together to produce the highest quality products to grow and enhance our client relationships.

What is your proudest accomplishment at Oakleaf?

My proudest accomplishment surrounds the work and progress in the Seasoned Credit Risk Transfer trigger reviews performed by Oakleaf as the Independent Reviewer. Oakleaf has experienced a substantial increase in volume and my work has improved efficiencies and critical client relationships.

Tell us more about your role. What exactly does a Director of Mortgage Services do here at Oakleaf?

As Director of Mortgage Services, I get to do a little bit of everything! I am closely involved in all projects and manage most of the day-to-day operations of the team. I provide most of the training and understand how to play to the strengths of the team.  My role is critical to allow the Managing Director to step back (somewhat) from the day-to-day and focus on overall strategy & growth of the business.

What would you like to say to someone considering a career at Oakleaf?

Oakleaf has been operating 100% remote since before COVID and has continued to operate successfully throughout the post-COVID reality. Oakleaf provides flexibility to its employees which is invaluable in providing a critical work-life balance.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

“Leadership is not about you, but it starts with you.”

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would it be?

Italy. I miss the history, culture, architecture and, of course, the food.

Do you have any pets?

No, but I am hoping to get a French Bulldog puppy within the next 3-4 months!

What three words would you use to describe Oakleaf?

Entrepreneurial, Challenging, Rewarding

What types of people work well at Oakleaf?

Professionals that are ethical, entrepreneurial, strong communicators and highly motivated will fit in perfectly.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy working out, playing golf and trading in securities.  I am trying to make it a point to travel more.

Law Firms, Mortgage Companies

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

Cultivating client relationships.  I am not a salesperson by nature, but once the relationship has begun, the client will genuinely enjoy and value the relationship with Oakleaf’s Mortgage Services team.
