Steinunn Seay, Managing Director of Relationship Development, joined Oakleaf in May 2023, bringing with her over three decades of experience in leadership positions within the financial services industry, specifically in mortgage operations. With a wealth of expertise in areas such as forensic re-underwriting, litigation support, change management, operational enhancement, business development, and client relations, Steinunn plays a vital role in expanding Oakleaf’s client relationships in the origination and forensic re-underwriting domains. Additionally, she oversees various mortgage services projects, leveraging her extensive knowledge in loan review due diligence, retail origination, and mortgage operations processes, including onboarding, procedure implementation, and client service delivery.

In her most recent position, Steinunn was responsible for relationship management at Canopy, and prior to that, she led Opus’ litigation support group. Throughout her career, she has held prominent roles at Prime Lending, Guild Mortgage, and CTX Mortgage Company, where she managed operations and loan origination. Over the course of her career, Steinunn has developed a profound understanding of client services, originations, processing, underwriting, quality control, pre-closing, and post-closing functions for all loan review components.
