Q: How long have you been with Oakleaf, and what is your title?
A: I’ve been with Oakleaf for 1 year and 4 months as a Data Analyst.
Q: Can you describe what your role entails? What does your typical day at work look like?
A: My role involves maintaining and creating programs for document distribution and reporting. I use analytic software to build reports on key metrics, so my day is filled with data analysis and programming.
Q: What’s your professional background, and what led you to Oakleaf?
A: My background is in data analytics, with a focus on reporting and coding, particularly in Python. I was drawn to Oakleaf by my interest in applying these skills in the Mortgage Industry.
Q: What inspired you to join Oakleaf, and how has your journey been so far?
A: The opportunity to apply my data analytics and programming skills within the mortgage industry was a huge draw. The journey has been fantastic.
Q: What’s a significant learning experience you’ve had while working at Oakleaf?
A: I’ve learned how to tackle the unique challenges associated with organizing and moving data and applying these skills to projects to achieve desired outcomes.
Q: How do you collaborate with other team members, and what do you enjoy most about working with your team?
A: I enjoy the mutual exchange of knowledge with my coworkers, learning from them, and sharing my own insights.
Q: What are your future career goals, and how is Oakleaf supporting you in achieving them?
A: My goal is to continue growing as a data analyst and to apply new technologies to solve more significant problems. Oakleaf supports me by providing access to the development tools and resources I need.
Q: How do you maintain a work-life balance, and what activities do you enjoy outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I relax by playing basketball and reading.
Q: What aspect of our company culture do you appreciate the most?
A: I appreciate the strong sense of community and the willingness of people to help each other out.
Q: What’s something most colleagues don’t know about you?
A: Not many know that I enjoy playing board games like Othello and Risk.
Q: If you weren’t working in this industry, what alternative career path might you have pursued?
A: I might have pursued something in the medical field.

A: I’d encourage them to go for it and be open to trying new things.

A: I’m into Classic Rock and EDM at the moment.

A: Yes, I have 2 black cats named Tidbit and Bagheera.
