Robert Conway is a Senior Advisor to Oakleaf and a seasoned financial executive with nearly four decades of experience in mortgage, structured finance, and treasury.

 

His work has spanned reverse and forward mortgages, home improvement lending, real estate investment, and farm financing.

 

Bob is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with deep expertise in all facets of mortgage banking including servicing, originations, capital markets, warehousing, hedging, securitization, and mortgage servicing rights valuation and financing.

 

Most recently, he was responsible for securing and financing the reverse mortgage production of Finance of America, the largest reverse mortgage company in the US.

 

Bob has also held senior leadership positions at Stonegate Mortgage and GMAC Residential Capital, where he managed large-scale financing operations, developed new business lines, and executed strategic acquisitions.

 

Earlier in his career, Bob served as a Managing Director at GMAC ResCap, focusing on business development and structured finance activities. He began his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers and Sandler O’Neill & Partners, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising for financial institutions.

 

Bob holds an MBA in Finance, graduating with distinction from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, and a BSE in Civil Engineering from Duke University.
